Aftab Mahmood, M.D.

Medical Oncologist/Hematologist

Dr. Aftab Mahmood was born in Karachi, Pakistan where he spent his childhood. During his teenage years he moved to New Jersey where he completed his high school education. He returned to Karachi to attend Baqai Medical University and graduated in 1996. He completed his internship at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center, Karachi.

Dr. Mahmood came back to the United States & completed his Internal Medicine residency at Michigan State University, Kalamazoo in 2001. He stayed one more year at MSU as Junior Faculty. Shortly after, Dr. Mahmood moved to Boston, Massachusetts to join the Hematology & Medical Oncology fellowship program at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center where he graduated in 2005. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Hematology and Medical Oncology. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Mahmood and his wife have three daughters.

Katie Reid, PA-C

Katie graduated with honors from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Physician Assistant program in Tennessee with a Masters in Medical Science, along with her Bachelor’s from the University of Idaho.  She has volunteered and worked in a variety of medical areas and came down from Galveston, TX to Corpus Christi.  She has an interest in oncology, clinical research, and environmental medicine.
